Meet Our Skilled Veterinarians

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, Dr. Koors has extensive experience in, but not limited to, the stabilization of severe traumas, intoxications, mechanical ventilation and pain management.

Jill Luther is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University who received her DVM from the University of Missouri.

Dr. Mary Jean Gorse knew at a very early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian; however, she never dreamed that she would build one of the largest veterinary referral and emergency centers in the Midwest. Dr.

Dr. Bonnie E Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as her veterinary medical degree, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then completed a one year rotating medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr.

Dr. Sherman joined VSS on May 20, 2013 as an emergency and critical care veterinarian.

Dr. Coletti joined VSS on January 15, 2009 after being selected for a small animal surgery residency.

Dr. Kristen O’Dell grew up in a small town in Missouri. She completed her undergraduate studies and veterinary degree at the University of Missouri in 2001.

Jenny Howard is a St. Louis native who obtained a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Webster University in 2015, followed by a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 2019.

Dr. Graham was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate degree and then completed veterinary school at the University of Missouri in 2017.

Dr. Mays is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and has special clinical interest and research experience in trauma resuscitation, transfusion therapy, and disorders of coagulation.

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Rausch has experience in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery with special interest in oncologic surgery and wound management.

Dr. Shelby Mancini is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Neurology.
